I am a self-motivated, highly organized, deadline-oriented professional who has superior writing and editing skills. As my numerous clips demonstrate, my ability to shape facts and information into clear elaborate pieces of writing is exceptional. I have a B.F.A in creative writing and five plus years of hands on experience in the publishing industry.
Last year, I was contracted by the Division of Global Affairs of the American Dental Association. My main role was to compose and edit persuasive and heartfelt copy to aid in Haitian disaster relief efforts. I am filled with pride knowing my words have helped secure funding for crucial programs that will help rebuild the oral health infrastructure in Haiti. It was a life-altering experience. I am in awe by the power of words to motivate action.
Reimagining our society to create an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable way of living is the most important task of our generation. I am cognizant of the challenges we face due to climate change, peak oil, and of the untenable practices exacerbating the potential effects. My most fervent desire is to find a way to leverage my creative ability, skills and passion as a writer and editor to help manifest a meaningfull change in my lifetime.
