The Gazette (Chicago) (formerly The Near West Gazette) is a large community newspaper that covers ten of Chicago’s diverse south side neighborhoods. It has a circulation of 17,500 and delivers a plethora of topics including local news, politics and community issues.
My role was City Beat Reporter – I researched and wrote articles per assignment for newspaper (2-3 a month). l also kept an eye out for interesting topics and pitched ideas to the editors. I worked on deadline.
